Here’s a finding from Trend Reports that I found fascinating:
Most people — between 65 and 85 percent — also describe themselves as ‘visual learners,’ forming meaning and organizing thoughts based on what they see more so than what they read.
Think about Pinterest. People are more likely to follow other users not based on their profiles but based on the images they pin on their boards.
On Twitter, retweets increase by 50% when you include images. And look at the rapid growth of Instagram. The user base soared from 90 million in January 2013 to 300 million in December 2014. That type of growth is staggering.
